Connecting dry contacts

The Didactum 500, 600 and 700 appliances have the possibility to install an optional Dry Contacts module. It is a device that is mounted and connected inside of the master unit. This module can be used together with any dry contacts, for example with door or window contacts, circuit breakers etc.

Carefully remove the three screws holding the cover and open it. The antenna, GSM or Dry Contacts module can already be installed inside. Carefully open the box by unplugging, if necessary, any cables that are connected from the top cover to bottom cover.

Break the 6 steel bridges in the dry contacts hole of the appliance case. Using forceps (cutter) with thin nozzles, cut the thin bridges in the hole. Make sure that no burrs are left.

Now install the dry contacts module on the 3 steel spacing sleeves inside the appliance case, attach the board with the three M3 screws to the sleeves as show in the illustration above.

Now connect the 16 wire BH16 flat cable that is supplied with Dry Contacts module to the connector on the module card and on the appliance motherboard as shown in the illustration above. Close and fasten the cover.

Check if all the cables are connected. Carefully place the top cover back so that all of the cover wings fit in all cutoff points matching up with the panel holes. Then use the 3 screws to close the enclosure. Check whether the burrs prevent the dry contact module from being inserted into the hole and remove them if required.

Connect the dry contacts to the module using the terminals as shown in the illustration above.
