Integration of the monitoring and control unit in syslog server

Syslog is usually used in the context of network management and also for security monitoring purposes. All smart monitoring and control devices from the manufacturer Didactum® can transmit log messages to a syslog server. The messages are transmitted on the basis of the syslog protocol.

Enter the IP address and port number of the syslog server.
Entering the IP address and the port of the syslog server in the SNMP enabled remote monitoring and control unit. Click "Save" to store the settings made. Please check the configuration of your syslog-server. Please note that syslog reception via UDP protocol must be activated.

Enabling Syslog Server

Log in to the English language web interface of your network enabled Didactum monitoring and control system. In the "Preferences" menu, please go to the "Logging" tab and go to the "Syslog" item. In the item "syslog server address" enter the IP address and the corresponding port of your syslog server.
