Installation of Sirens and Strobe Lights to the Relay Outputs

All web based remote monitoring and control units and PDU`s from manufacturer Didactum® are equipped with 12V DC relay outputs. Here you can easily connect up to two alarm beacons or strobe lights. Of course you can attach other 12VDC devices and systems to the relay outputs of the web based remote monitoring and control unit.

Editor`s note:

The 12V DC relay outputs are suitable only for low-current electrical consumer. Please regard that max. current consumption of connected devices is limited to 0.25A.

Pin assignment of relay outputs

All monitoring units include a green plug for the 12VDC relay outputs. Simply connect the siren or strobe light to this plug. Please check the polarity of the power cable. Below illustration gives you detailed information.

Test the relay outputs of your web-based monitoring unit

After you connected e.g. the siren with integrated strobe light, Ssimply log in to your web enabled remote monitoring device. In it`s multilingual webGUI you see the system tree and the entry "Power 12V 0.25A“.

To test your signal light or siren, please select „ON“ under the menu point „Initial state“. The connected siren with integrated strobe light will start the audiovisual alert.
